- Arsene Wenger believes Man City's win over Burnley could work against Liverpool's hopes
- The former Arsenal boss added that it will be difficult for Liverpool to get three point at Newcastle
- Man City will play Leicester City and Brighton while the Reds will finish off the season against Wolves
Arsene Wenger has revealed destiny could be against Liverpool in their 29-year wait for a Premier League title.
The Reds thrashed Huddersfield 5-0 in Friday, April 26, to go back of the table but with Manchester City's narrow win over Burnley, the Anfield giants dropped back to second.
Sergio Aguero's goal was enough to put the Citizens past Sean Dyche's men at Turf Moor, as his effort hit Matthew Lowton and then dropped marginally over the line as the defender attempted to clear.
The Premier League later tweeted to confirm that goalline technology had found that the ball had gone over the line.
And speaking on BeIN Sports, Wenger said the goal was evidence of destiny going against Liverpool in their challenge for the league title.
The former Arsenal boss even suggested that the Merseyside club could drop points in their next match against Newcastle next at St. James' Park, with City facing Leicester at the Etihad.

“There is still hope but they go to Newcastle,” Wenger said on Sunday.
“Newcastle is not an easy place for Liverpool . They are safe and I’m scared for Liverpool even with one game to go City could have already won the Championship.
"They will fight until the end. it looks like there is destiny that is against Liverpool.
"They dominated for such a long period English football. From 89-90 until today they cannot win the championship anymore and every time there is small things against them."
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that former Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has reportedly tipped Liverpool to win Premier League title.
The Reds are currently atop of the English topflight table with 85 points following their 2-0 win over Chelsea at Anfield on Sunday, April 14.
