A Nigerian comedian has written an open letter to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad claiming that he was assaulted by officers of the squad. The man explained that he was assaulted because he refused to let them check his phone.
The man identified as McChikaraw shared the open letter on his Instagram page. The comedian recounted how the officers assaulted and shared photo evidence of his back after the incident.
McChikaraw explained that the officers of Special Anti-Robbery Squad beat him up after he refused to let them check his phone.
According to him, the only reason he did not take the incident all the way with the officers was because he was lady for a wedding he had been hired for.
The comedian noted that he would have followed them to the station instead of letting them beat him up. He also claimed that they also collected money from him.
