- Luis Suarez of Barcelona has vowed to celebrate if he scores against Liverpool
- Liverpool will face Barcelona on Tuesday, May 1, in the Champions League semifinal
- Suarez left Liverpool in 2014 and the 32-year-old will return to Anfield for the first time
Barcelona striker Luiz Suarez has confirmed his readiness to celebrate if he scores against Liverpool in the 2018/19 Champions League semifinal clash.
Luis Suarez will be making a return to Anfield for the first time since he left the club five years ago for the Spanish giants.
Liverpool are looking to go one better after finishing runners up to Real Madrid in last season's Champions League final, while Barcelona are seeking a first final appearance since 2015.
Suarez played for Liverpool between 2011 and 2014 before he left and has made it clear that there won't be any friendship on his return to face Jurgen Klopp's men.
"In the build-up to the game it's nice to talk about how massively grateful I am to Liverpool for all they gave me.
"But, you know me, once I'm on the pitch there will be no friendships, no companions, no thought for all the lovely moments.
''I'll defend the colors of Barcelona with all the pride in the world,'' he said in an interview with the Daily Mail.
Barcelona are topping the Spanish La Liga standings with 80 points and four games to end the season.
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Barcelona are edging closer to a successful defense of their La Liga tile after beating Deportivo Alaves 2-0 on Tuesday, April 23, at Mendizorrotza Stadium.
The encounter saw the La Liga leaders start some squad members like Lionel Messi and Jordi Alba from the bench.
