Super Eagles and 23 other countries have been given the sum of $260,000 (N93 million) by CAF to finance their preparation for AFCON 2019 in Egypt.
It will the first time the Africa Cup of Nations will be having 24 teams put in eight groups in the biggest soccer fiesta in the continent.
The payment from CAF is to help federations with low budget finance their expenses of their preliminary preparations.
The additional payment ranges between $4.5million for the eventual champions and $475,000 for the teams that will be eliminated at the group stage.

Nigeria have been considered as one of the favourites for the tournament are drawn in Group B alongside Guinea, Madagascar and Burundi.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Amaju Pinnick, Nigeria Football Federation president (NFF), has dismissed allegations of corruption and financial misappropriation leveled against him and his board.
Pinnick and his board were alleged to have the sum of $650,000 pocketed meant for a friendly match against Bolivia in Uyo in 2015, given by the former Governor of Akwa Ibom state, Godswill Akpabio.
