Alexis Sanchez pocketed £75,000 for touching the ball once in 16-minute appearance

Alexis Sanchez smiled to his bankers after pocketing £75,000 bonus - for making a single touch during his 16-minute stay on the pitch during the Manchester derby.

According to the Mirror, United fans are asking the club to do away with the Chilean forward, no thanks to his poor show all through this season.

In the encounter, the £400,000-a-week forward after replacing Matteo Darmian in the 78th minute, only touched the ball once by the half-way line.

Interestingly, Sanchez only kick of the game ensured he enjoyed a huge pay day in office, courtesy of an alleged appearance fee in his contract when he arrived from Arsenal.

The report further explained that Sanchez’s representative Fernando Felicevich reportedly included an additional £75,000 bonus anytime he takes to the pitch in the Premier League and Champions League - even from the substitute bench.

Additional reports claim United are ready to offload Sanchez and Marcos Rojo this summer.

The 30-year-old forward has been struggling to settle since his switch from London to Manchester last January.

"We know we must deliver a good performance against Chelsea."
