Man cries out after internet fraudsters emptied his mum’s bank account

A Nigerian man has cried out on social media after his mother lost over N200k to fraudsters. The man identified as Ayo Bankole narrated how his mother was defrauded after she lost her mobile phone.

The man, who shared the story on Twitter, explained that his mother became a fraud victim despite the fact that she took the necessary actions after her phone was lost.

Bankole revealed that his mother called her bank and asked them to block her account and she also called her service provider to block her phone line.

According to him, the service provider company was not reachable and the bank claimed to have blocked the account, only for her to see that over N200k had been transferred from her account.

He explained that the bank is also doing back and forth with the case and the bank says she has to retrieve her line before sending the details of the fraudster who stole her money.

The man decried the state of the country, saying his mother is sad and helpless at the moment.
