Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has promised the club's supporters to turn around the club's fortunes next season.

Solskjaer's pledge to fans came after Man United's 2-0 derby defeat to Man City on Wednesday night, April 24, at Old Trafford.

Two second half goals from Bernado Silva and Leroy Sane saw the Red Devils record their second successful league defeat.

The loss left them lying sixth on the standings with 64 points and now face the prospect of not qualifying for Champions League football next season.

In his post-match interview, Solskjaer admitted his side has plenty of reflections to make ahead of the conclusion of the ongoing season.

The Norwegian promised to make amends during their next match against Chelsea, exuding confidence that United still have a chance of sealing a top four place.

“In the short term we are still in the race for the top four and we know we must deliver a good performance against Chelsea [on Sunday]," the UK Mirror quoted Solskjaer.
“But we will have a better attitude than everyone else when we come back in the summer," he further submitted.

United were seeking to return to winning ways against their city rivals after their 4-0 weekend demolition to Everton.

Moments after the match, Pogba moved closer to fans at Old Trafford to applaud them as he headed towards the tunnel.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confessed that fierce rivals Man City are the new kings of Manchester following Man United’s 0-2 defeat at Old Trafford.

According to the report, the Red Devils are experiencing their worst campaign in the English top flight since 1962 after losing seven in their last nine matches across all competitions.

In addition, United have conceded 20 times, scoring just six goals- without netting from team play since April 2.
