Naira Marley: OAP Gbemi petitions brands to end endorsement deals of artistes supporting Yahoo

In recent times, the Nigerian social media has been abuzz with whether celebs should support or frown at cybercrime, popularly called Yahoo Yahoo.

The whole argument started after popular singer, Simi, slammed Yahoo boys, saying they should not listen to her music. This caused her to face criticism from cybercrime supporters including fast rising musician, Naira Marley.

Marley had asserted on social media that people who know about slavery will not regard Yahoo as a crime. Interestingly, he had a number of supporters including other musicians who quietly showed their agreement with his view.

The large number of Yahoo supporters on the internet has raised questions in the minds of others as other Nigerian celebs pick sides.

Popular on-air-personality, Gbemi Olateru-Olagbebi, has reacted to a tweet on social media where a young man wondered how the celebs supporting cybercrime still have their endorsement deals intact.

In reaction to the tweet, Gbemi called on brands to end the endorsement deals of such celebs.

In other news, reported that Naira Marley advised Nigerians to pray for Yahoo boys because they make money go round and not politicians.

In a recent live video he recorded on Instagram, the singer urged Nigerians to pray for Yahoo boys rather than berate them. He noted that Yahoo boys make their money go round.

Marley further expressed that Yahoo boys are the reason why some Nigerians have money to spend because they make money circulate.
