Man United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirmed that ex-club boss Jose Mourinho was right about squad members having attitude problem.

According to the Mirror citing Sky sports, the Portuguese manager was repeatedly faulted at Old Trafford after he publicly condemned the attitude of some United stars.

At the end, the former Real Madrid and Chelsea manager was fired last December, with Solskjaer stepping in on a temporary basis, getting along with the players and securing the needed results.

Four months down the road, the Norwegian has been handed the Red Devils’ managerial role on permanent basis, but results in recent games are heartbreaking, with United suffering a 4-0 bashing at Everton.

And only last night were handed another 0-2 defeat at home by fierce rivals Manchester City.

Club legend Gary Neville was furious on Sky Sports about some Man United stars 'pretending to work hard' but in all honesty they are contributing nothing.

And now club boss Solskjaer has admitted that he is in the know of the same problems Mourinho battled with at Old Trafford.

"Sometimes when you speak to the press, when I'm speaking to you know, you can't defend them.

"The players know it and they don't defend it themselves, they are good lads and we just keep on working on changing some of these attitudes.

"If you are not willing to learn, if you are not willing to pick up the mantle or when you're left out that means there are two things you can do: you can either leave it or you can work harder to get back in to tell me and the club and you team-mates that you want to get back into the team.

"They have got decisions to make the ones who feel they aren't getting the chances they deserve,” Solskjaer submitted while speaking on Sky Sports.

The result sees the Pep Guardiola's men move back to the top of the Premier League.

The blockbuster game started on high as City dominated possession but their performance was below par on the night, with a few errors and faulty passes.

United were the more organized side in defence and tried to hit their neighbours on the break on a couple of occasions.
