Arsenal forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was not part of his side's 18-man squad that suffered a 3-1 defeat to Wolves on Wednesday night, April 24, at Molineux Stadium.

Aubameyang's absence from the squad was confirmed hours to kick off, with Arsenal revealing the Gabonese forward required a "small sinus procedure."

He is now scheduled to be assessed ahead of Sunday's crucial trip to Leicester City and expectations are high he will be fit to start.

Meanwhile, his absence from the Wednesday tie proved costly as Arsenal's top four finish hopes suffered yet another blow with a comprehensive defeat to the Nuno Espirito-tutored side.

First half goals from Ruben Neves, Matt Doherty and Diogo Jota gifted the hosts a comfortable victory over Unai Emery's men, with Sokratis' late goal ending up as a mere consolation for the visitors.

The Emirates outfit remain fifth on the log with 66 points, two above United who were defeat 2-0 by City during the Manchester derby.
