Saudi Arabia has said that 37 nationals who were charged with terrorism have been executed for their crime on Tuesday, April 23.
It should be noted that the executions happened two days after an attack on a police station in Central Riyadh province, Bloomberg reports.
The government said the citizens were executed for the various acts of terrorism they committed.
He said: "The death penalty was implemented ... on a number of culprits for adopting extremist terrorist ideologies and forming terrorist cells to corrupt and disrupt security as well as spread chaos and provoke sectarian strife."
According to the Saudi Press Agency, the executions took place in Riyadh, the Muslim holy cities of Mecca and Medina, Central Qassim province and Eastern Province.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that on Monday, April 1, a Nigerian mother of two was executed in Saudi Arabia after dr*ugs were found in her possession while she was in the country for lesser hajj.
It was gathered that investigations in Nigeria concluded that the woman had no idea that the dr*ugs were in her bag.
According to reports, the dr*ugs were planted in her bag by members of a crime syndicate in Kano. The crime syndicate is said to be working with some officials at the airport in Kano where the woman boarded the plane to Saudi Arabia.

Legit.ng also gathered that Abike Dabiri who is the chairman of the National Diaspora Commission has said that eight Nigerians have been executed by the Saudi Arabian government over dr*ug-related offences.
Dabiri revealed this on Tuesday, April 2 at the State House while also speaking about the execution of a Nigerian woman in the same country for dr*ug trafficking.
