On what was supposed to be a holy holiday for Christians, it became a day of mourning and sorrow for people in Sri Lanka.

A terrorist attack was carried out in the South Asian country, leaving many people dead.

According to Daily Mail, Denmark’s richest man Anders Holch Povlsen, lost three of his four children in the horrible attack.

The ASOS owner was reportedly on Easter holiday with his four children but he survived with one of his kids. A spokesperson for Povlsen confirmed the deaths but did not reveal which of the children died in the attack, Daily Mail reports.

One of Povlsen’s children, Alma, had shared a photo of her siblings by the poolside just days before the devastating attack.

It was gathered that Sri Lankan officials have blamed the attack on a small Islamic group, National Thowheed Jamaath (NTJ).

According to reports, about seven terrorists targeted churches and hotels in Sri Lanka on Easter Sunday.

A total of 290 people are said to have lost their lives in the unfortunate accident.

In other news, Legit.ng reported that President Buhari has expressed sadness over the bombing of churches and hotels in Sri Lanka.

The president made his feelings known in a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu, in Abuja on Sunday.
