- Mauro Icardi has delivered a huge blow to Premier League clubs after deciding on his future
- The Argentine's agent Wanda Nara ruled out a move abroad for the forward but did not confirm if he will remain at Inter Milan
- Icardi has netted 16 times in 32 matches across all competitions for Inter Milan this season
Mauro Icardi's wife and agent Wanda Nara has confirmed in between tears on TV that the Argentine forward will be staying back in Italian topflight next year - leaving open the door of a possible switch to Juventus.
According to the Mirror, agent Wanda Nara disclosed the news while appearing on the ‘Verissimo’ channel broadcast by Italian channel ‘Canale 5’.
Speaking during the interview, Nara, who looked unhappy, said: “He’s still scoring goals. He keeps moving forward because he is the strongest one in his family.
"He’s calmer now. He hugs all his teammates because he has always had a great relationship with everyone.
“We will surely stay in Italy next year” she added.
At the last count, Icardi stopped playing for Inter Milan from February 9th until March 4th, no thanks to a misunderstanding with Inter Milan’s management.
Icardi has netted 16 times in 32 matches across all competitions for Inter Milan this campaign and has been repeatedly linked with top Premier League clubs.
Recently, the Argentine forward was reported to be heading for a swap move with compatriot Paulo Dybala at Juventus.
Icardi has scored 16 goals in 32 appearances in all competitions for Inter Milan this season and has been linked with moves to a number of Premier League clubs.
Interestingly, doctors handed the 26-year-old a clean bill of health to resume playing, but Icardi claimed he still battling a knee injury.
The Inter Milan 'ultras' have since criticised the frontman, referring to him as "little man" and suggesting he should leave the club.
On the other hand, Calcio Mercato claimed in a report that the 'ultras' are giving the forward a tough time with their latest statement.
"That little man who wears the number 9 does not deserve Inter, because he has not shown even the minimum of professional correctness that any "employee of a company" should demonstrate expressing respect for the shirt, for the public that believes in it or at least for the company he works for."
Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Inter Milan are reportedly ready to offer Mauro Icardi plus cash to Manchester United striker for the possibility of them to sign Romelu Lukaku this summer.
Milan are said to have been long term admirers of Belgian football star Romelu Lukaku and they are now ready to lure him to Italy at the end of the season.
Romelu Lukaku has scored four goals in his last two games for Manchester United under Solskjaer as he netted a brace on Saturday, March 2 in a Premier League tie.
Icardi on the other hand hasn't played for the San Siro side for a month and has even been stripped of the captaincy at Inter Milan.
