Killers of Briton in Kaduna make demand

- Three workers are in kidnappers' den in Kaduna following an incident in Kajuru

- Five people were abducted but two of them reportedly esaped

- The kidnappers ae also responsible for the death of a Briton

Killers of a Briton, Faye Mooney, who was a staff member of Mercy Corps Nigeria, in Kaduna state have demanded N60 million ransom for kidnapped three workers.

Daily Trust reports that the three workers were abducted on Friday, April 21 at a resort centre in Kujuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

It was reported that five persons were abducted but two escaped.

A source at Kajuru said the gunmen had tried to gain entrance into the castle through a rock near the castle by firing shots into the holiday resort.

The source said mobile policemen on guard tried to repel the attackers which scared the Briton and her colleague who were lodging in a room and in a attempt to flee were caught in the crossfire.

He said: “The two people they killed were already tensed in their rooms in one of the towers. They were panicking and they rushed out of their rooms and started running down the stairs.

“The stairs is opened, so as they were running down the staircase, the bandits saw them and shot them.”

Daily Trust reports that gunmen suspected to be kidnappers attacked the popular Kajuru Castle around 11:30 am on Friday, April 19 to carry out the dastardly act.

The national news daily reports further that the female foreign tourist was at the place from Legos with other friends as tourists.
