Antonio Valencia confirms Manchester United's departure in emotional Instagram post

- Antonio Valencia could be on his way out of Old Trafford after enduring a turbulent season with the Red Devils

- The Ecuadorian has since hinted at a possible departure in an Instagram post

Manchester United captain, Antonio Valencia, has confirmed his possible departure from Old Trafford in a cryptic Instagram and Twitter posts.

Valencia has endured a turbulent season with the Red Devils, making just one appearance under new boss, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The Ecuador international has further struggled with injuries at the club this season ahead of the the expiry of his current deal with the Old Trafford dwellers.

Previously, Solskjaer has been coy of Valencia's future at the club but recently confirmed the 33-year-old will not be handed a contract extension.

Valencia has now appeared to confirm his imminent exit after uploading a photo of Old Trafford's Sir Alex Ferguson stand with the caption :"Thank you. "

Ferguson signed Valencia for a reported fee of around £16 million from Wigan ten years ago to replace Cristiano Ronaldo who was to join Real Madrid at the time.

He went on to establish himself as a key squad member under the Scot, winning several titles with United shirt including the prestigious Matt Busby Player of the Year award in 2012.

He was initially signed as a winger but was moved into the right-back in 2015 by then manager, Louis van Gaal.

The star player has made 338 appearances for the Manchester outfit, scoring 25 times in the process. earlier reported that Antonio Valencia will leave Manchester at the end of the season after both player and club failed to reach an agreement over new contract talks.

The Red Devils captain has only made eight appearances this campaign playing just five Premier League matches and three Champions League games.
