30-year-old woman gets arrested for defrauding man of N1.9m and plotting to poison him (photo)

- A woman has been arrested in Katsina state for fraud and attempted murder

- The woman had reportedly defrauded an unsuspecting victim of N1.9 million

- It was gathered that she was tried to kill him after she could not refund his money back to him

Hassatu Isah, a 30-year-old woman, has been arrested by the Katsina state police command for fraud and attempted murder of a 30-year-old man identified as Rabiu Haruna.

Police had come to the rescue of the victim after the culprit and her accomplice were arrested.

According to reports, the woman had defrauded Haruna of N1.9 million, and when she could not refund him, she plotted to kill him. Isah had reportedly hired her accomplice, Babangida Dalha, for the job.

The state police commissioner, Sanusi Buba, disclosed that Dalha was contracted and paid N50,000 to carry out the job. He said Dalha had administered poison with an intent to kill Haruna.

Buba said: “But nemesis caught up with her, when she could not deliver the spiritual charms to the victim, who demanded a refund. She then planned to kill him by hiring a killer, one Babangida Dalha, 30 years, of Jibia, whom she contracted with N50,000 for the job."

During investigation, Isah claimed that told her to prepare charms that could make him invisible at will. However, Haruna denied that the money was for preparation of the charms. He said: "I gave her the money for purchase of land after she treated my wife’s illness.”

It was gathered that Hassatu and her accomplice would be prosecuted after investigation.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that a father in China had left his 2-year-old daughter at restaurant as collateral. The father had left his daughter as collateral after he failed to settle a bill of N320 in the restaurant.
