Super Eagles star Ahmed Musa has ended his three-month goal drought in the Saudi Arabia as he bagged a brace in Al Nassr 5-0 win against Al Fateh on Thursday, April 18, in the Saudi Professional League.
The 26-year-old started 2019 with a goal for Al Nassr as they beat Al Jandal 6-0 in a King Cup Champion round of 64 game played on Thursday, January 3, but failed to find the back of the net in the months of February and March.
However, Musa is back in the goal scorers’ chart in April as he kept his composure to fire home from close range for his first on the night.
The Nigerian international received a pass from top scorer in the league Hamdallah (29 goals) in the 38th minute, brought it down with his chest, before beating his markers and slotting pass the goalkeeper.
He got his brace in the 78th minute to add more gloss to the scoreline as he again showed great composure in front of goal.
Musa’s double takes his tally to seven goals in 22 league matches this season. He has also registered seven assists in the Saudi Professional League.
Al Nassr lead the way in the league as they have 64 points from 28 games with two games left in the season.
However, they have played one game more than second-placed Al Hilal who have 63 points.
