Uniben introduces graduation ring as part of convocation paraphernalia

The University of Benin (Uniben) has introduced something new into their convocation ceremony. According to a release, the school is adding a graduation ring to the list of items to be in the paraphernalia normally given to graduating students.

What this means is that, apart from having a mortar box, academic gown and program sheet, they now get to be given a graduation ring!

This very unusual addition of a ring was announced through a document that stated this fact. The university even instructed students who were graduating to report to a particular place so they could have a finger sizing.

It is not known when they are going to be given the ring, that is, before or after the ceremony. But whatever the case, the news is Uniben convocating students are now sure to get a big, fanciful accessory on their hands as an additional compliment to them.
