- Unai Emery will be handed just £75 million should Arsenal qualify for Champions League next season
- Arsenal currently sit fourth on the log and still have a shot of winning the Europa League
Arsenal will make available just £75 million for Unai Emery to spend on transfers in the summer should the club qualify for next season's Champions League.
Qualification of the continental tournament would have served as a massive boost for Emery's expenditure during the upcoming summer transfer window.
But that will have little significance on the club's transfer budget according to a UK Metro report citing Goal.com, as club chiefs have set around £75 million for business.
Be that as it may, Emery would still push for a Champions League qualification to avoid the possibility of having just £45m to spend.
The Spaniard tactician is keen to replace Juventus-bound Aaron Ramsey, buy a left-back and an attacker as the club seeks to strengthen key areas.
Finding a perfect replacement for Danny Welbeck whose contract expires in the summer is also top on Emery's priorities during the transfer window.
The Gunners currently sit fourth on the log with 66 points, but still have a match to play.
They are scheduled to play Napoli on Thursday, April 18, for a chance to qualify for the Europa League semis.
Winning the tournament will also guarantee Arsenal a Champions League spot next season.
Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Super Eagles star Alex Iwobi set a new Premier League record after helping Arsenal beat Watford 1-0 at Vicarage Road on Monday night.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's tenth minute goal was all the visitors needed to secure maximum points away from home. Barely one minute after the goal, the Hornets captain Troy Deeney was handed his marching order for a serious tackle on Lucas Torreira.
