- Marc Andre Ter Stegen was spotted reading a tactical note dropped by Marcus Rashford

- Barcelona were 3-0 victors over Manchester United and booked their place in the semis

- Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had instructed Rashford to pass an information to his teammates

Marc Andre Ter Stegen was the man in between sticks for Barcelona in their 3-0 victory over Manchester United with Lionel Messi scoring two first half goals.

A video clip has now emerged on how Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wanted to change his formation in the second half of the match.

The Norwegian manager gave a hand-written tactical note to Marcus Rashford which is understood to pass on the information to his teammates.

However, the Englishman dropped the paper outside the Barcelona penalty area which made Ter Stegen curious about what was inside it.

The information given in the paper was that Solskjaer wanted his players to change from an initial 4-3-1-2 formation he started the game with, to a 4-4-2 formation.

Despite the poor video quality of the clip, it is understood that the note reads: Vic (Victor Lindelof), Chris (Chris Smalling), Jones (Phil Jones), Ash (Ashley Young); Jesse (Jesse Lingard), Scott (Scott McTominay), Fred, Paul (Paul Pogba); Rash (Marcus Rashford), Anthony (Anthony Martial).

But his late tactical switch failed to yield a positive result, as Philippe Coutinho scored after the hour mark to help Barça booked their place in the Champions League semi-finals.
