Twitter is currently agog following claim by President Muhammadu Buhari's personal assistant on new media, Bashir Ahmad, that world's richest man and philanthropist, Bill Gates, called the president to congratulate him on his electoral victory.
Ahmad, who made the claim on Wednesday, April 17, also said Gates said he is happy to be associated with President Buhari.
According to the presidential aide, the world's richest man restated his commitmen to the success of the APC-led administration as well as the progress, prosperity and well-being of Nigeria.
Legit.ng gathers that some Nigerians on Twitter, however, found it difficult to believe Ahmad, who they did not hesitate call out on the social media platform for allegedly lying to them.
Other believed it was President Buhari that actually called Gates and not the other way round.

Legit.ng previously reported that President Muhammadu Buhari has commended one of the world’s richest men, Bill Gates for his consistent and generous support to public causes around the globe.
The president, in a telephone conversation with Gates, specifically lauded him for supporting the eradication of polio and HIV diseases in Africa and Nigeria in particular.
Malam Garba Shehu, the senior special assistant to the president on media and publicity, in a statement in Abuja on Wednesday, April 17, said Gates on his part, congratulated the president upon his resounding election victory for a second four-year term of office.
The presidential aide quoted Gates as saying that he was happy to be associated with the president.
