I will devote my life to fighting you if anything happens to my parents - Lady tells Governor Ambode

- A Nigerian lady has called out Governor Akinwunmi Ambode and the Lagos state government on social media

- The lady claimed that the the governor had arrested her father and his colleagues for protesting against salary decrease

- Gbemisola explained that her father was arrested after the governor invited them for a visit

A young Nigerian lady identified simply as Gbemisola has called out the Lagos state government and Governor Akinwunmi Ambode on Twitter. The lady revealed that the governor had her father and his colleagues arrested.

According to Gbemisola, her father is a member of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Polytechnics (SSANIP) for Lagos State Polytechnic, and they were arrested for protesting against thirty percent decrease in salary.

Gbemisola revealed that her father and members of SSANIP were arrested after the were invited by the governor to resolve the conflict about the protest.

In her tweet, she explained that the members of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Polytechnics were being held at the State Investigation Bureau. She said they were arrested on Wednesday, April 16.

She noted that the members of the association are mostly people in their 50s and 60s and they never caused any harm by protesting.

According to her, the members were charged to court, and they were accused of arson and assault. She stated that there was no evidence of a burnt building.

The lady also expressed that both her parents are hypertensive and vowed that if anything happens to them she would fight the governor with everything she has.

Gbemisola later revealed that bail was granted for the members but because they could not reach bail conditions early they were remanded in prison.
