Everything seems to be working for Liverpool this season as they edged closer to winning the Premier League title this season after their 2-0 win over Chelsea at Anfield.

However, that was not the only feat they achieved from the victory as their goalkeeper Alisson Becker also equaled 18 clean sheets run by Manchester United keeper David De Gea.

Meanwhile, he did it with four matches remaining this term - meaning he could overtake the Spaniard before this season is over.

Jurgen Klopp's men have four more matches to wrap this campaign off, with three of those fixtures away from Anfield.

According to the Mirror, Arsenal shot-stopper Petr Cech currently holds the record of the highest number of clean sheet in the Premier League with 24.

While former Liverpool number one, Pepe Reina ranks second with 20 clean sheets in the history of the competition.

Apart from De Gea and Alisson, former Manchester City goaltender Joe Hart is another keeper in the EPL to have 18 clean sheets in a single season.

The Brazilian had an impressive game against the Blues on Sunday, April 14, making superb save against Eden Hazard during the game.

Meanwhile, Jurgen Klopp after the victory heaped praises on the second most expensive goalkeeper in the EPL.

He said that: "Here were 10 minutes when Chelsea changed their system and had their chances and Ali saved our life.

"Apart from that we controlled and dominated the game for 80 minutes which is the best you can say about a game against Chelsea.

"But in these 10 minutes they could have changed the game completely, a post and two saves from Ali, right?

"But then we controlled the game again. It was a fantastic performance and an even better atmosphere and a very important result."

He sealed a four year deal to the EPL side valued around €63 million and he has been impressive for his present club so far.
