- The lawmaker said this act was being done in Kaduna and its environs
- Sani hinted that APC lawmakers were behind the attack and not members of the opposition
Senator Shehu Sani has claimed that some people are being sponsored to attack the image of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu on Hausa Radio in Kaduna and other northern states.
In a tweet on his page on Monday, April 15, the Kaduna lawmaker said attack on Tinubu’s image was being done in Hausa language.
Sani said this attack could not have come from the opposition, hinting that this was being carried out by the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
According to him, "some wars begin with a sniper.”
Meanwhile, Abdulmajid Danbilki Commander, a chieftain of the APC in Kano had accused Tinubu of trying to choose the new leadership of the Senate through autocratic means.
In an earlier report by Legit.ng, Commander claimed that Tinubu was calling the shots in the politics of the north, the APC and the selection of executive members of the National Assembly.
Commander, in a statement signed on Sunday, April 7, said that northern politicians should separate themselves from Tinubu's alleged dictatorship.
He said northern politicians would no longer be puppets used only to advance the agendas of some favoured politicians. In his statement, Commander said that the decision must prevail over the selfish wishes of some persons in power.
