It is a well-known saying that what a man can do a woman can do better. Same seems to be the case of a young lady whose choice to work as a bricklayer in order to fend for herself is both a challenge to some men and a topic for discussion especially on social media.

Although almost nothing is known about the young female in question, it is believed that she is a Nigerian who just wants to make a living for herself instead of idling away or indulging in any form of social vice.

Her stance and doggedness to succeed in life through hard work are a recipe for viral discussion for Nigerian social media subscribers.

While some feel that the young lady's situation is nothing new and that this is not a gender war, others appreciate her for being an example of the dignity of labour. This set of Nigerians believe that among other similar cases, it proves that the narrative is being changed in terms of what jobs are peculiar to either males or females.

Some other Nigerians on Twitter believe that this is just a make-believe, adding that this is just a show that does not deserve retweeting and discussion.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that a Nigerian man identified as Zaddy Yo (@el_treaph_) on Twitter had taken to the microblogging site to celebrate hardworking women after he spotted a female danfo driver for the first time in Lagos.

He shared snaps from the encounter as he revealed that he wished he had taken more. In his caption, he wrote: “First time I saw a woman driving a Danfo ,I wish I got a better SHOT . .. “Big shout out to all women , hustling to make there own money .Instead of sitting idle at home.”
