Top Nollywood actress, Genevieve Nnaji, has taken to social media to lend her voice to the movement for bettering the sexes and reducing gender wars, something that has become common on social media of late.
'Boys will always be boys' is a common phrase often used by many people to excuse the bad behaviours of some men. Well, Nollywood sweetheart, Genevieve Nnaji has had enough and is speaking out against it.
She shared a write-up about the need to stop reducing men to animals that don't know right from wrong and accompanied it with the caption: "Brothers, you can rise above the stereotype. Love y’all ✊❤️."
Her post, although applauded by a huge number of fans and followers, received criticisms from some people who felt women were to blame for inculcating that belief. According to Instagram user @innoxxy_, mothers are to blame for all of these as boys grow up with that flawed mentality and find it hard to unlearn those things.
Nnaji responded to the @innoxxy_ stating that once a person becomes an adult, they are supposed to stop blaming their parents for the things they were taught and learn to figure out things on their own.

She revealed that feminism to her is all about human rights. She stated that she believes that everyone has the right to live exactly how they want. Nnaji noted that as a human being, everyone wants the right to have choices, to do whatever they want, whenever they desire.
