- Chelsea face Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday, April 14, as they continue their quest for a top 4 finish
Chelsea playmaker Eden Hazard may not play any role in Thursday’s Europa League clash against Slavia Prague ahead of Sunday’s Premier League cracker with Liverpool.
According to Liverpool Echo, Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri is expected to make five or six changes to the Blues squad for tonight’s game away to Slavia Prague, in the first-leg of their Europa League quarter final.
The Blues are expected in Anfield on Sunday, April 14, as they continue their quest for top 4 finish.
They will be banking on Hazard against Liverpool after the Belgian netted three times in the last two games and is a key part of Chelsea's makeup.
"We don’t know if Hazard will play because yesterday he had only recovery training in the gym so I did not see him," Sarri was quoted as saying during his press conference on Wednesday.
"This morning he was tired and so I want to wait until tomorrow morning and I will decide.
"Slavia played on Saturday but we played Monday, I don’t know why. We need to change five or six players.
"Of course, we have to play in Liverpool three days after."
Earlier, Legit.ng reported Real Madrid have reportedly began house hunting for Chelsea star Eden Hazard as they are confident of signing the Belgian this summer in a mega deal.
Since the return of Zinedine Zidane to Real Madrid, the Frenchman is said to be so interested in luring Eden Hazard to the Bernabeu for him to be part of his squad for next season.
Hazard's brace against West Ham United on Monday night, April 8, is reported to have increased Real Madrid's desire to sign the 28-year-old.
Sources in Spain claim talks are so advanced that Real Madrid's main target is house-hunting in the posh suburb of Pozuelo according to UK Sun.
