Paul Pogba will be seeking a transfer away from Manchester United in the summer amid claims of a “worn out" relationship with club boss Ole Gunner Solskjaer.
According to UK Sun citing French newspaper Le Parisien, this development will come as a surprise to Red Devils supporters, who are now enjoying the best of Pogba since the Norwegian arrival in December.
At the last count, the 26-year-old has netted nine times along with seven assists, but has failed to score since his goal against Chelsea on February 18.
And in recent time, the French World Cup winner revealed playing for Los Blancos will be a "dream" come true, which has now turned into a topic of discuss.
"Real Madrid is one of the biggest clubs in the world. I've always said it is a dream club for every player."
And with United’s chances of finishing in the top four suffering a knock in recent time after Wolves defeat, the possibility of the Frenchman’s exit could be a reality.
However, in the same press conference in March, Pogba revealed to journalists why the players wanted Solskjaer to be named permanent manager at Old Trafford.
"Of course we want him to stay.
"The results have been great. I have a great relationship with him, he has a great relationship with the players.
"When a player is happy, he wants to keep being happy. Solskjaer deserves it. He knows the club, he knows everything about the club.
"He is a really happy coach that gave confidence back to the players. This gave us the freedom to play and enjoy football again because maybe we lost that with the results we had before."
And during his press conference ahead of Barcelona match, Solskjaer emphasized that Pogba is happy at Old Trafford.
"Paul Pogba is looking forward to tomorrow [yesterday's match].
"At Paul's best he can run a game like this. I cannot see him not playing for Manchester United next season.
"He is a Man United player, one of our big performers on the big stage."
Interestingly, Solskjaer also found time to speak on Pogba's contract extension with SunSport revealing that Red Devils chiefs are ready to open talks with Pogba and his representative Mino Raiola in the coming days.
However, Pogba is demanding £500,000 weekly salary, just like Alexis Sanchez's wages - to pen an extension to his contract which runs out in 2021.
And United stars are expected to be slammed a 25 per cent if they fail to qualify for the Champions League next season.
Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has insisted that Paul Pogba will stay at Manchester United next season.
The future of the Frenchman at Old Trafford has been in heavy doubt after commenting that any player would want to play for Real Madrid.
