Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano has been described by the gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state, Engr Abba Kabir Yusuf, as a product of rigged election.
Yusuf made the comment in a statement released by his spokesman, Sanusi Bature Dawakin-Tofa, on Wednesday, April 10, Daily Trust reports.
Legit.ng gathers that Yusuf said Ganduje’s conscience must have been on vacation for celebrating the March 23 election as a legitimate exercise.
According to Yusuf, the election was characterized by voter intimidation, open vote-buying, harassment and flagrant abuse of human rights among others.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that Governor Abdullahi Ganduje raised allegations against the Kano state commissioner of police, Mohammed Wakili, claiming he gave protection to the PDP.
The governor said the police commissioner helped the opposition party rig the state governorship election.
Ganduje said the arrest of his deputy was unconstitutional and they could have chosen to take him to court for it.
