The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo state has congratulated Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti the state on the successful inauguration of his commissioners and other ranks of political office holders in Ekiti state.
The director, Media and Publicity of APC in Ondo state, Steve Otaloro, made this known in a statement issued in Akure on Wednesday, April 10.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Fayemi inaugurated his cabinet, comprising 14 commissioners and five special advisers on Tuesday, April 9, after being sworn in for the second term on October 16, 2018.
Legit.ng notes that Otaloro said: “We consider it highly commendable on your part to have called to service a set of politicians and technocrats of high integrity and proven mettle.
“As you have sworn in your commissioners in a record time, this confirms your commitment to a true democratic process and the relentless drive to regain the glory of Ekiti State as a land of honour.
“Everyone can attest to your faithfulness to develop your home state socially and economically; also, to evolve a lasting solution to all its political problems.
“Flowing from the past history of the struggle to achieve an inclusive and a democratic constitutional order, you have done very well."
He promised that the chapter of the party would continue to work with the governor and his government in his efforts to bring honour and pride to Ekiti state.
Otaloro acknowledged the sterling performance of the governor since assumption of office as noteworthy and praiseworthy, urging him not to relent in doing more.
According to him, APC’s landslide victory in Ekiti state in the last poll was an affirmation of the level of confidence the Ekiti people reposed in the governor.
He said: “It is a testimony to the high level of hope your people placed on you for the redemption of the lost glory of Ekiti State.
“It is undeniably, your wisdom, experience in politics, sense of engagement and devotion to the service and the protection of the interests of the Ekiti people, especially, as it relates to their prosperity, well-being and security.

“Going by the aforementioned, do accept our best wishes that you have a successful tenure of governance in Ekiti State."
Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that the senior special assistant to Governor Fayemi of Ekiti, Ademola Obanise, said all was set for the inauguration of the Home Grown School Feeding Programme of the federal government in the state.
Obanise made the disclosure in Ado-Ekiti on Saturday, April 6, while inspecting cooking materials to be distributed to selected vendors that would be engaged under the initiative.
The governor’s aide said pupils between primary 1 and primary 3 would be fed under the programme, adding that the state government had keyed into the federal government initiative.
