Marcus Rashford is close to signing a new contract worth £300,000-per-week at Manchester United, reports claim.
The 21-year-old's current deal at Old Trafford is set to end next season and Spanish heavyweights Barcelona and Real Madrid are understood to be in the race.
But the Mirror claims that talks over a new five-year deal have began between Rashford and United which could see the England striker earn a whopping £78million.
It is understood that the academy graduate wants to stay at United who have a 12-month extension clause they can trigger - but the Englishman feels he deserves a massive pay rise.
Rashford is currently earning £80,000 a week but has his eye on the £300,000, what Wayne Rooney was pocketing each week until he returned to Everton in 2017.
But the arrival of Alexis Sanchez on £505,000 per week just six months later did not help Rashford and David De Gea who also wants a pay rise.
