Ajax will face big battle in their quest to reach the 2018/19 Champions League semifinal as they face Italian side Juventus in the first leg of their quarterfinal tie on Wednesday night, April 10.
En route to this stage of the 2018/19 Champions League last eight, Ajax against all odds defeated holders Real Madrid, while Juventus on the other hand sent Atletico Madrid out of the campaign.
After being out for the past two weeks for Juventus due to a thigh strain injury sustained on international duty, Cristiano Ronaldo looks set to return against Ajax.
Ronaldo was superb in the knock out stages scoring hat-trick against Atletico Madrid in the second leg.
But despite Moise Kean scoring seven goals in his last eight games for club and country, Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri has hinted he could be an option off the bench.
Ajax and Juventus will be facing each other for the ninth time in the European Cup/Champions League and for the first time since November 2004.
The Dutch side have not beaten the Italians in the competition since winning the 1973 European Cup final in Belgrade 1-0.
Juventus are unbeaten in each of their last nine European matches against Ajax winning five and drawing four of these games.
Meanwhile, the encounter between Ajax and Juventus will start 8pm tonight.
Ajax possible starting lineup:
Onana; Kristensen, De Ligt, Blind, Tagliafico; De Beek, De Jong, Schone; Ziyech, Tadic, Neres
Juventus possible starting lineup:
Szczesny; Cancelo, Bonucci, Chiellini, Sandro; Pjanic, Bentancur, Matuidi; Bernardeschi, Mandzukic, Ronaldo
