The family of the kidnapped director of Lagos State Fire Service (LSFS), Rasaki Musibau, has been thrown into fear as those suspected to have kidnapped him demanded N6 million ransom for his release.
Legit.ng recalls that Musibau was kidnapped and whisked away with six other people along the Epe-Itokin road, Ikorodu on Saturday, April 6.
The kidnappers have, however, established contact with the family of the Lagos fire service boss and demanded N6 million for his release, Channels TV reports.
According to emerging report, the kidnappers vowed not to collect less than N3 million from the family of Musibau, while placing lesser ransom on other kidnapped victims.
Speaking on the development, Lagos command public relations officer, Bala Elkana, said the force would ensure the release Musibau and other victims in due course.
The Lagos state police command’s spokesman, Bala Elkana, had confirmed the kidnap of Musibau and six others in a statement on Sunday. He said the police was on the trail of the abductors.
Elkana added that the state commissioner of police, Zubairu Muazu, had tasked the command’s anti-kidnapping unit to ensure that they rescue the seven persons abducted by the hoodlums suspected to be kidnappers.

The six others kidnapped along Musibau were Mufutau Adams (a management staff of the Fire Service), Funmilayo Adelumo, Asiogu Martha, Lasisi Muka and two others.
Vehicles recovered from the scene include a Toyota Sienna, a Toyota Corolla and an Opel Jeep.
