The Kakamega woman who raised eyebrows after delivering five babies has passed away, Legit.ng has learnt.
Evelyn Namukhula passed away at the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital in Eldoret on Sunday, April 7, after briefly complaining of chest pain..
She arrived at the hospital around 10:00pm on Saturday, April 6, and was pronounced dead hours later.

Namukhula had the world's attention less than a month ago after she delivered three girls and two boys through Cesarean section.
Before her remarkable quintuplets delivery, Namukhula was already a mother of four other children.

She initially delivered her babies at the Kakamega General Hospital on March 13, but was transferred to Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital after one of the infants developed complications.
Her story gained nationwide recognition with a number of well-wishers chiming in with various forms of donations to help her.
Despite being blessed with bundles of joy five times over, controversy emerged barely days after the amazing birth as elders from Namukhula's community declared quintuplets a bad omen.

They called for the killing of three so the mother would easily breastfeed and successfully raise the other two. However, the woman had passed away due to heart failure.
It was also reported that she had already lost two of them days before her demise.

In another news, Legit.ng had reported that a newborn baby was abandoned by the mother. It was gathered that the baby was wrapped in a yellow blanket and dumped in a sack that was placed in front of a house.
