A player identified as Ahmed Rabia of Al Jazira last week collided with the floodlight while playing for his club and was rushed to the hospital after sustaining head injury.
Rabia was competing for the ball with an opponent from Emirates Club at the United Arab Emirates Football Association's Al Khawaneej training pitch in Dubai.
He was at full speed trying to get the ball from his opponent and thereby collided with the metal pylon before being rushed to the hospital.
“From the team medical doctor’s report, the injury isn’t as serious as we thought before the scans. said Al Jazira team manager Ahmed Saeed at the time.
"Ahmed is recovering well and his condition is improving day-by-day,'' Al Jazira team manager Ahmed Saeed explained according to UK Sun.
Rabia Ahmed has spent almost his entire career at Abu Dhabi club Al Jazira and featured against Real Madrid in their run to the Club World Cup semi-finals in 2017.
