BREAKING: 6 shot dead as armed robbers attack bank in Ondo

- A bank in Idoani in Ose local government area of Ondo state was raided by a band of armed robbers on Monday, April 7

- The raid resulted to the death of 6 persons, two of whom were staff members of the financial institution

- Newsmen said that the robbers gained access into the premises of the institution with the use of dynamite

A gang of armed robbers raided a commercial bank in Idoani in Ose local government area of Ondo state on Monday, April 7.

The financial institution, located at Isewa quarters is said to be the only bank in the Idoani community, TVC reports.

A resident of the of town who did not reveal his identity said that four persons were killed at the ATM point and two of the bank's staff were shot dead inside the banking hall.

Moreover, it was gathered that the robbers carried out the raid without fear, having gained access into the premises of the institution with the use of dynamite.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that a Nigerian trained medical doctor had lost his life after he was reportedly robbed and stabbed just a day after graduating from the University of Lagos.

Sharing the sad news of the death of the young man who was identified as Dr Stephen Urueye on social media, a Facebook user who goes by the name Adeyeye Olorunfemi, made it known that the incident took place in front of the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) in the Idi-Araba area of Lagos.

According to him, the young man was attacked by robbers and sustained multiple stab wounds which eventually led to his death.
