- Memphis Depay has emerged top priority signing for Liverpool this summer
- The Premier League giants could lose their top striker Sadio Mane to Real Madrid
- Jurgen Klopp is now hoping to land the Dutchman as replacement for the Senegalese if he joins the Spanish League giants
Liverpool are reportedly planning to sign £50 million rated Lyon star Memphis Depay should Sadio Mane join Real Madrid this summer.
Los Blancos have not hidden their interest in the Senegal international, who has been on fire for the Reds in all competitions this season.
He has scored 17 Premier League goals after 31 matches this campaign as the Anfield side are hoping to end their EPL trophy drought at the end of this term.
Mane has now emerged as top priority signing for the Spanish League giants, after the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus last summer.
SunSport however report that the Premier League outfit are hoping they can replace Mane with the Dutch striker ahead of next season.
Depay had a disappointing reign at Old Trafford after joining the Red Devils on a four-year contract valued around £25 million.
The Dutchman moved to Lyon in 2017 but the French club are reportedly refusing to entertain offers of less than £26 million.
The winger has scored eight goals and 14 assists from 40 appearances for Lyon this season, and he is said to have attracted interests from a number of EPL clubs but his wages could be the problem.
Depay has also been superb for his country's national team - scoring 16 goals and 12 assists from 46 international appearances.
Should he agree to join Liverpool, he will team up with his country man Virgil Van Dijk at Anfield.
Meanwhile, Liverpool are at home to Porto in the first-leg of their Champions League quarter-final on Tuesday before a Premier League clash against Chelsea at Anfield on Sunday.
Legit.ng earlier reported that Memphis Depay, former Man United winger, is linked with a switch to Liverpool as possible replacement for Sadio Mane in the summer.
According to Metro citing L’Équipe, the 25-year-old Dutch international, who joined Man United from PSV Eindhoven in the summer of 2015, struggled from form and confidence under Louis van Gaal and later Jose Mourinho.
However, since Depay was sent packing by the Portuguese tactician over 24 months ago, the Dutchman has rediscovered his scoring ways netting 30 times in 80 Ligue 1 games.
