Sergio Aguero heavily doubtful for Man City's Champions League tie against Tottenham

- Sergio Aguero may not be available for Manchester City when they battle Tottenham in their Champions League semifinal clash this week

- The Argentine has not been available for the Citizens in their last two outings in all competitions

- Aguero suffered a minor injury during his side's 2-0 win over Fulham late last month

Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero remains doubtful for his side's Champions League quarterfinal clash against Tottenham Hotspur this week.

The Argentine suffered a minor injury during the Citizens 2-0 win over Fulham at Craven Cottage in their last Premier League outing late last month.

Having missed their last EPL victory over Cardiff City earlier this month, Aguero was also left out of their 1-0 win over Brighton & Hove Albion at the Wembley Stadium over the weekend.

In view of this, UN Metro however reports that the former Atletico Madrid striker might be left out of City's squad for the Champions League crunch meeting.

According to the team doctors, Aguero was said to have suffered a muscle strain, but it may be enough to keep him out of the trip to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Tuesday night.

However, Pep Guardiola while providing update on the striker's injury after his side's FA Cup triumph said: "He is much much better. Still he didn’t train one single training session with us.

"Tomorrow in training we are going to see whether he will be able to play the next game or Crystal Palace.’ City travel to take on Palace in the Premier League next Sunday.

Meanwhile, the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich manager said before the weekend's encounter that he would not be risking the current Premier League top scorer for the game.

"Sergio is going to play when he’s really, really fit,’ said Pep. ‘The doctors are going to tell me tomorrow if he’s a risk of being injured and after that whether it could be three or four weeks out.

"If that is the case I’m sure he’s not going to play. It’s a semi-final. It’s an important game and we’ll play with the best side possible."
