Reactions trail CJN Walter Onnoghen's resignation

The embattled Chief Justice of Nigeria, Walter Onnoghen, resigned from office on April 5, 2019, barely 24hours after the National Judicial Council (NJC) recommended that he be compulsorily retired for misconduct and false assets declaration.

CJN Onnoghen reportedly sent his resignation letter to the office of President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday evening, April 4.

Although, the lawyer to the CJN, Adegboyega Awomolo, explained that Onnoghen resigned in the interest of the judiciary, Nigerians on social media have a lot to say about the CJN's resignation.
