Liverpool on Friday night, April 5, kept their hopes of winning the 2018/19 Premier League title alive after beating Southampton 3-1 in a tough game at the St Mary's Stadium.
But the Reds had to come back from a goal down before condemning their hosts to their 16th defeat this season in the Premier League.
Southampton scored their goal in the 9th minute through Shane Long who was superbly assisted by Pierre Hojbjerg in which Liverpool defender Virgil Van Dijk failed to clear the ball from danger.
But Liverpool made sure they scored before the half time break through Naby Keita who benefited from an assist by Trent Alexander Arnold.

Jordan Henderson scored the winning goal for Liverpool in the 86th minute and it was Brazilian star Roberto Firmino who gave him the assist as Liverpool won 3-1.
Liverpool are now topping the Premier League standings with 82 points after 33 games played this season.
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Mohamed Salah added another feather to his cap after being named the PFA Premier League Player of the Month for January.
The Liverpool striker beat the likes of David de Gea, Paul Pogba, Marcus Rashford, Troy Deeney and Leroy Sane to win the award for a second month in a row.
