The ACG said the visit accorded him opportunity to brief the governor on the challenges of the formations, most especially the parameter wall fence and gate of Sokoto Central Prisons.
The ACG urged Tambuwal to look into possibility of commuting the life sentences of inmates to lesser terms for them to have sense of belonging and reduce tension arising from incarceration.
The ACG was accompanied, during the visit, by the controller of prisons, Sokoto state command, Sabo Chafe, his deputy, Ummu Almustapha and other senior officers of the command.
