- David Luiz has rejected a mega £34m offer from Qatar as he hopes for a new deal at Chelsea
- The 31-year-old Luiz and Chelsea are still continuing talks over an extension
- Luiz has made about 30 appearances in the EPL for Chelsea since he returned in 2016
David Luiz has rejected a massive £220k-a-week offer in Qatar as he awaits a new Chelsea deal.
According to Sun citing Yahoo Esportes, reports in Brazil claim Luiz, who is on the last leg of his Chelsea deal, is expected to earn about £34m in over three seasons from an undisclosed Qatari club.
At the moment, the 31-year-old Luiz and Chelsea are still continuing talks over an extension, but nothing has been agreed so far.

However, the Brazilian centre-back is not ready to make the switch as he prefers to remain in west London and play in the English topflight and Europe.
Luiz is keen to return to the Brazil national team again and he is convinced that can only be possible if he remains with Chelsea.
Already, the big defender received a £8.5m offer from Palmeiras to return to Brazil, but Luiz thinks he still has more to offer in his career before heading back home to play at a less competitive level.
Luiz and Chelsea are yet to agree on a deal, but Chelsea’s policy allows only a year extension to players over 30, with the Brazilian seeking more than a year extension.

It is likely that Chelsea may consider Luiz request as club prepares for FIFA two window ban and would not like to lose any player at this time.
The Brazilian has made 40 appearances this season, with 30 coming in the Premier League since he was re-signed by Chelsea for £34m in 2016.
Earlier, Legit.ng reported Maurizio Sarri jokingly mocked Chelsea star Callum Hudson-Odoi in the dressing room during the Blues' 3-0 victory over Brighton at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night, April 3.
This was Hudson-Odoi's full Premier League debut as Sarri introduced the youngster in a much-changed Chelsea side against Brighton.
The forward went on to produce a magnificent performance, assisting Chelsea's opening goal scored by Olivier Giroud.
However, the Englishman missed a golden chance to get his own name on the score sheet in the first half, taking a massive swing to miss Eden Hazard's deflected cross.
