- The Ekiti state House of Assembly has confirmed Governor Fayemi's commissioner nominees
- The confirmation followed a letter sent to the lawmakers by the governor seeking for approval of the designates
- Upon their confirmation, the speaker of the assembly, Adeniran Alagbada, urged the commissioners to ensure that they work for state development
The Ekiti state House of Assembly has unanimously confirmed 13 commissioner nominees presented by Governor Kayode Fayemi.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the nominees were confirmed by the house during plenary on Thursday, April 4, presided over by the speaker, Adeniran Alagbada.
The nominees include a former member of the House of Representatives-Bamidele Faparusi, Moji Kolade, Febisola Adewale, Gbenga Agbeyo, Michael Awopetu and Moji Fafure.

Others are Alhaji Ayodele Jinodu, Muyiwa Olumilua, Sola Adebayo, Adio Folayan and Olusoga David, Chief Folorunso Olabode, and Femi Ajayi.
The speaker urged them to ensure that they contribute their quota towards the development of the state.
Speaking to newsmen shortly after his confirmation, Faparusi said the new assignment is a call to serve the people of the state.
He said: “This is a call to serve the people, a call to support the realisation of the vision for development of Gov. Fayemi in the state."
The house later adjourned sitting till Monday, April 8, 2019.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Governor John Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti forwarded the list containing the names of the commissioner designates to the state House of Assembly for confirmation.
The governor, who assumed the leadership mantle of responsibility in October 2018, conveyed the names of the commissioners to the house in a letter read by Alagbada.
