Monicah allegedly abstained from intimacy for 11 years in a period when she decided to stay ‘pure’ after her first marriage came crashing down in 2007.

It came as a surprise to many when she announced that months after her second stab at marriage, she was already pregnant for her new boo.

Monicah is now a mother of two including her child from her previous marriage.

When her story went viral, a section of Kenyans expressed their disbelief that she actually went more than a decade without the physical touch of a man.

But in an interview with the Nairobian, she spoke of her naivety in the build up to her first marriage and how her own family problems prompted her to settle down without much thought.

Following her first failed marriage, she then decided to bid her time when it comes to her relationship with men and her celibacy ended up lasting for 11 years.
