Stolen guber mandate of APC in Sokoto will soon be retrieved - Wamakko

The leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Sokoto state, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, has assured members of the party that the party's stolen governorship mandate will be retrieved soon.

Wamakko gave the assurance in his Gowon Nama residence within Sokoto metropolis after his return from Abuja on Wednesday, April 3, Leadership reports. notes that Wamakko said: "I am extremely optimistic that, the stolen mandate of the party would soon be retrieved. God gives and takes leadership, He has already given us.

"The members and supporters of the party should remain calm, peaceful and resolute. The supporters should be law abiding and shun violence and any form of intimidation.

"Leadership comes from God and I am optimistic that our sustained efforts would soon yield the desired positive fruits . Our lofty efforts would be crowned with success."

Meanwhile, previously reported that the chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Sokoto state, Alhaji Isa Sadiq Achida, said that the party’s gubernatorial mandate stolen by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) would soon be reclaimed.

Achida said this in a statement signed by him and issued to newsmen in Sokoto on Saturday, March 30.

The APC chairman in the state reacted to allegations that the APC’s bid to use the prowess of some federal agencies during the 2019 governorship election against the PDP had failed.

He said: “Such deluded and misplaced outcries by Governor Aminu Waziiri Tambuwal, are inefficacious, just as they are immaterial and ineffectual.
