A transport company has suspended indefinitely one of its drivers who is said to have stabbed his passenger over the cost of transportation.
This act of impertinence filtered into their ears of the transportation firm and this earned the offender a punishment.
The driver allegedly stabbed the passenger, Daniel Asiamah, on his left hand as the two got into a brawl over the matter after which he was arrested by the Cantonment police.
According to the transport company named Uber, after being made aware of the incident, their Incident Response Team, who are trained to deal with any critical safety issues, reached out to the rider to offer him their full support.
In broad daylight last Friday, March 29, 2019, in Labone, a suburb of Accra, the driver was seen loudly haggling with Mr. Asiamah over the cost of fare after the Uber driver transported some documents belonging to Mr. Asiamah.
Following this, a fight seemed to have broken out in which the driver allegedly took to inflicting a wound on the passenger. For this action, the individual has been suspended.
