Ole Gunnar Solskjaer dismisses Paul Pogba transfer talk to Real Madrid

- Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says Paul Pogba will not be dumping Man United for Real Madrid

- This came after the Frenchman recently admitted it would be a dream for anyone to play for Los Blancos

- His comments however threw his future at Old Trafford under sharp speculation with two years left on his current deal

- Solskjaer has now come out to defend Pogba, acknowledging the midfielder's comments were honest

Manchester United boss, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has thrown his weight behind his star player Paul Pogba despite the player being linked with a move to Real Madrid.

The 2018 World Cup winning midfielder recently said that it would be "a dream for anyone" to play under Zinedine Zidane at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Pogba has scored over ten goals in the EPL this campaign - most of which were scored after the arrival of his Norwegian manager last December.

"Like I've always said, Real Madrid is a dream for anyone. It's one of the biggest clubs in the world," he was quoted saying during the international break.

"There is also [Zinedine] Zidane as a coach and it's a dream for anybody who likes football," he added.

The midfielder's comments threw his future at Old Trafford into doubt, with a section of United fans questioning his commitment to the club.

However, Solskjaer has refuted claims Pogba flirted with the reigning European Champions, with the Norwegian tactician admitting the Frenchman was being honest.

"This is another challenge with international breaks. Players are available all the time as well and it's a different environment, more of a general talk," Solskjaer was quoted saying ahead of United's Premier League clash against Wolves.

"Paul is a very nice and polite man who then answered a general question. Zidane is an icon in France, Zidane is a fantastic manager, he used to be a fantastic player, I played against him myself, and he's just politely answered that question," he added.
