- A corp member shot dead by some gunmen in Bayelsa state is set to be buried on April 5

- The young man identified as George Onakpoma was among the three people shot in a corpers' lodge by gunmen who attacked the residence

The tragic death of a corp member identified as George Onakpoma has left many people heartbroken and outraged over the danger many youth corp members face while serving the fatherland.

According to reports, a gang of hoodlums invaded a corpers' lodge on On March 20, where the deceased resided along school road, Swali, Yenagoa, and shot three corp members including Onakpoma which eventually led to his death.

The armed men, which were reportedly six in number, arrived the corpers‘ residence at about 10.30pm and immediately started shooting into the lodge repeatedly.

The deceased corps members, it was gathered, were attached to a private school, identified as Victory Group of Schools, close to their residence and were marking some examination scripts when the hoodlums invaded their home.

George Onakpoma will be buried in his home town in Delta state on Friday, April 5.

In a similar news, a Business Administration graduate identified as Ochoche Dickson Iduh, who recently completed his NYSC in Plateau state, was killed in Otukpo, Benue state, where he went to show his discharged letter to his parents.

The Benue State Polytechnic graduate was shot, on Friday, October 26, by yet to be identified gunmen, at Ojira and died immediately.
