Fans chant Lampard’s name as Sarri's replacement amid poor tactics at Cardiff

- Fans were left chanting Frank Lampard’s name after Sarri's tactics against Cardiff which saw him bench Hazard and Hudson-Odoi

Fans have revealed their preferred replacement for Maurizio Sarri after the Italian incurred the wrath of Chelsea faithful .

According to UK Sun, the fans are furious with Sarri decision not to start Hazard and Hudson-Odoi as the Blues battled until the closing moments to beat Cardiff City 2-1 in Sunday, March 31.

And after 30 minutes into the game, the over 3,000 Chelsea fans at the Cardiff Stadium started chatting Hazard’s name as he warmed up on the touchline to keep himself warm from the cold.

The fans did not stop there as they chanted for the manager’s replacement amid request for Frank Lampard’s return as Chelsea manager.

Sarri’s tactics was faulted and he did not help matters with his team selection.

The fans were fuming as if they wanted to pick a fight with him after seeing Hudson-Odoi also on the bench less than seven days after starting a Euro 2020 qualifier.

Interestingly, Chelsea played without vision throughout the contest, but were lucky to score a later winner to take their season’s haul to 60 points at the blast of the final whistle.

Earlier, reported that Chelsea survived a major scare to secure a 2-1 win against Cardiff City on Sunday, March 31, in the Premier League.

The Blues conceded after 52 seconds in the second half through Víctor Camarasa who grabbed his fifth goal of the season for Cardiff City.

The goal came after Harry Arter delivered a cross as Víctor Camarasa guided the ball into the back of the net to hand the hosts a lead.

It was the first time Camarasa has scored five goals across all competitions in a single season.
