Barcelona have reportedly concluded plans to sell Croatian midfielder Ivan Rakitic once Frankie De Jong arrives this summer.

The 31-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to join Manchester United, but Mundo Deportivo claims the attacker has been a target for Inter Milan.

SunSport reports that the Catalans spent £70 million to acquire the services of the Ajax youngster in January, but will join his new teammate at the end of this season.

The publication also report that the La Liga champions are planning to raise funds to sign Antoine Griezmann.

Rakitic joined Barcelona from Sevilla in 2014, and has gone ahead to win three La Liga titles, four Copa del Reys and the 2015 Champions League.

Meanwhile, former Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho admits the Croatian is one of the best center midfielders in the world.

Aside, Rakitic, Philippe Coutinho is another Barcelona star who might be leaving the Camp Nou when the season is over in May.

The Brazilian moved to the Spanish League in the January 2018 in a deal valued around £142 million - but has not lived up to his billings since then.

Coutinho has scored nine goals and two assists in over 40 appearances for the Blaugrana's in all competitions this campaign.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Manchester United are plotting to make a move for Barcelona star Ivan Rakitic this summer.

Reports from the player's camp claims the likes of Bayern Munich, Juventus and Inter Milan are all keeping tabs on the Croatian, who is expected to cost about £57 million.

Rakitic joined Barcelona Sevilla in 2014 and has been a part of their success in the last five seasons.
